ENCRYPTEK ACHIEVES WORLD’S FASTEST RSA CRYPTOSYSTEM

Encryptek implementation demonstrates ultra high throughput for many asymmetric key encryption and decryption systems

ORANGE, CA – February 14, 2011 – Encryptek today announced the world’s fastest RSA cryptosystem for ASIC and FPGA technologies, achieving over 91K NIST approved 1024 bit RSA operations per second. The accelerated operations allow for massively increased transmission of secure data over insecure media.

RSA encryption is heavily utilized in secure web, email, VoIP, SAN, and TCG transactions, among others. In web servers, SSL technology relies upon RSA encryption. Increasing the speed of RSA accelerators improves performance, latency, and power.

Encryptek has pursued asymmetric cryptosystems for years, and has fine tuned its approach to apply to various cryptography types, including RSA, DH, DSA, and ECC. The Encryptek developed system can compute several encryption types at once, and apply record breaking speedups to them via patented technology invented at Encryptek.

Part of the Encryptek advantage is the flexible nature of the design. The technology can be easily tuned with several design parameters to maximize performance according to area, power, a specific bit length, or encryption type. Encryptek has demonstrated variable bit length encryption, including 2048 bit and 4096 bit cryptosystems, all with the same flexible design.

Availability
The Encryptek RSA Cryptosystem is available immediately as a FPGA based accelerator with PCIe and 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet interfaces, and can be used as a development platform to incorporate a larger design. It is also available immediately as an IP core for ASIC or custom FPGA platforms.
